Common questions

How much does online course video cost?

At Video Department (VIDEO DEPT.), a course filming day is $2,000, fixed: up to 8 hours with two cameras, a teleprompter, lights and wireless mics, with travel in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach included. Editing is quoted per course once we know how many lessons there are and how long they run.

How many lessons can we film in a day?

It depends on how long the lessons are and how ready the scripts are. With the script on a teleprompter, short lessons go quickly and most days cover several of them. We plan the order with you before the day so nobody waits.

Do you have a studio?

We film at your office or home, or we book a studio near you. A booked studio is quoted separately.

Can you match the style of our existing course?

Yes. Send us a lesson you already have and we match the framing, background, lighting and titles, so new modules look like the old ones.

Do you add captions, slides and screen recordings?

Yes. Captions come as caption files and burned into the video, and we cut in your slides, screen recordings and close-ups where they help the lesson.

What files do we get?

Video files and caption files that upload to any learning platform. You own the final videos. Raw footage and project files are provided on request.

Our video team is in another state. Can you film in South Florida for us?

Yes. We work from your shot list and your format with our own cameras and kit, so you don't have to fly a crew in. A 4-hour camera day starts at $750.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry general liability insurance and match your venue's requirements, including higher limits when a venue asks for them. If you need a certificate of insurance (COI), we send it before the shoot.
