Our pricing rule: send the form or book a free call and you'll have an exact fixed quote the same business day — and the price we agree is the price you pay. At VIDEO DEPT., most corporate projects land between $2,500 and $3,000.
What drives the price
Seven levers move almost every quote. Understand them and you can steer cost without hurting quality.
- Crew size. A solo shooter vs. a 4-person crew is the single biggest swing. More cameras mean more angles — and more payroll.
- Shoot days. Every additional day multiplies crew, gear, and editing. Tight shot lists beat extra days.
- Locations. Each new location adds setup, travel, and permits. One well-dressed location often outperforms three rushed ones.
- Talent. Real customers and your own team cost nothing; hired actors, voiceover artists, and presenters don't.
- Animation & motion graphics. Titles and lower-thirds are cheap; full 2D/3D sequences are a separate production inside your production.
- Revisions & turnaround. Two revision rounds is standard (it's what we include). Rush delivery — days instead of weeks — commands a premium.
- Licensing. Licensed music, stock footage, and broadcast rights. We use licensed music on every project so your video never gets flagged.
How to compare quotes
Never compare totals — compare line items. Any serious quote should spell out:
- Pre-production: scripting, storyboarding, shot lists — included or extra?
- Production: crew size, gear, shoot days, hours per day.
- Post: editing days, revision rounds, color grade, sound mix, captions.
- Deliverables: exact list — masters, cutdowns, aspect ratios, thumbnails.
- Rights: who owns the final edit, project files, raw footage.
- Logistics: travel (we include Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach), meals, permits.
- Terms: fixed price vs. estimate, payment schedule, cancellation terms.
If a quote is missing half of these, it's not cheaper — it's unfinished.
Red flags
- No contract. A handshake quote is a future dispute.
- No revision terms. "Unlimited revisions" means no process; zero revisions means hostage footage.
- A price far below market. Someone is cutting crew, gear, licensing, or backup — you'll feel it on delivery day.
- No backup plan. Ask what happens if a shooter gets sick or a camera dies. (Our answer: redundant gear on every shoot, and a second operator on bigger days.)
- Vague deliverables. "A video" is not a deliverable. Lengths, formats, and cutdowns should be in writing.
FAQ
How much does a corporate video cost in South Florida?
At VIDEO DEPT., most corporate projects land between $2,500 and $3,000. A single shoot day (one camera operator with camera, lights, and mic) runs about $1,500. Larger brand films with multiple locations typically range $3,500–$8,000.
What drives video production cost up or down?
The biggest drivers are crew size, number of shoot days, locations, on-camera talent, animation or motion graphics, music licensing, revision rounds, and turnaround speed. Cutting shoot days and locking the script early are the two fastest ways to control cost.
Should I choose the cheapest quote?
Compare line items, not just totals. The cheapest quote often excludes revisions, licensing, or a backup plan — which surface later as change orders. A fixed quote with revision terms in writing is worth more than a low estimate.
Do video studios charge for travel in South Florida?
Some studios add a fee to travel between counties. Video Department (VIDEO DEPT.) has no travel fee anywhere in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties: travel is included in every quote. Travel beyond that is quoted per project.

Ranges are useful; a fixed quote is better. Two minutes on the form, or thirty on a call, zero pressure.
