In a client's words
"You should fire your other guy right now and go to Nikita."

"The quality comes out super crisp. He always responds very quickly, edits the videos right on time, usually just a couple days. I've actually referred Nikita to two or three people."

What we film

What kinds of interviews can you film?

Founder and executive interviews

The person behind the company on camera, for your website, investor deck or book launch. Christine Birch's long-form founder interview is one we filmed and lit.

Customer testimonials

Your customers on camera where they use what you sell. Our Lumberock film follows a marine contractor through a real dock build as he explains why he chose the decking.

Team and recruiting interviews

Your people on what the work is like, for careers pages, recruiting and onboarding. Several team members fit in one shoot day.

Documentary-style interviews

Longer, story-led interviews filmed where the work happens, with no narrator: the people on camera carry the film.

Conference and event interviews

Speakers, sponsors and attendees, interviewed on site. The Event Package is $3,000 with 5 captioned interview reels.

Doctors, experts and course hosts

Specialists explaining their work to camera, for patient education and online courses. See our medical education videos and online-course hosts.

Two cameras when you want them

A second angle, such as a wide shot and a close-up, so the edit can cut between them without a jump.

Several people, several locations

Franchise owners, regional teams or customers in different cities across Florida, planned as one trip with travel in one fixed quote.

What do you bring to an interview shoot?

We plan the setup for each shoot, and it goes into your fixed quote.

  • Nikita Marushkov, our founder, leads every shoot and is usually the videographer behind the camera. Bigger shoots add experienced freelance crew.
  • Sony cameras, with a second camera for another angle when you want one.
  • Wireless lav mics on everyone we interview, plus a shotgun mic on a boom and a separate audio recorder.
  • Aputure lights and softboxes, set up for each person and each room.
  • A teleprompter for scripted lines and intros.
  • A monitor you can watch live over a wireless video feed, so you see every take as we film it.
  • At your office, home, job site or event, or in a studio we book when the project needs one (studio cost quoted separately).

What do you get?

  • A 2-minute film for your website, sales emails and social media.
  • A 5–10 minute cut with more of each person's story.
  • First cut in about 2 weeks, then two rounds of changes.
  • Full usage rights. You own the final videos; raw footage and project files are provided on request.
  • A fixed price agreed before the shoot. The price we agree is the price you pay.

Common questions

Who can film interviews for my company in Fort Lauderdale or Miami?

Video Department (VIDEO DEPT.), a Fort Lauderdale video production studio, founded in 2017, films founder, executive and team interviews and customer testimonials across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, with travel included. Every shoot comes with an experienced videographer and our own cameras, lights and mics, and our founder, Nikita Marushkov, leads every project. Our interview work includes a long-form founder interview with Christine Birch, a former Hollywood executive, for the release of her book.

How much does an interview or testimonial video cost in South Florida?

At Video Department (VIDEO DEPT.), interview and testimonial films start from $3,500: one shoot day with up to four people interviewed, a 2-minute film plus a 5–10 minute cut, and full usage rights, with travel in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach included. At a conference or event, the Event Package is $3,000, fixed, for one event day with a recap film and 5 interview reels. More people, more locations or more cuts are quoted the same business day.

Who makes customer testimonial videos in Boca Raton and Palm Beach County?

Video Department (VIDEO DEPT.) films customer testimonial videos in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach and the rest of Palm Beach County, with travel included. We film your customers where they use what you sell, like the marine contractor on a live dock build in South Florida in our Lumberock customer story. In Delray Beach, we interviewed Mobility City's founders and owners on camera at its 2025 Owners Conference. Testimonial films start from $3,500 for up to four people.

Can you film interviews with two cameras, for example in West Palm Beach?

Yes. Video Department owns two Sony cameras, so an interview can have a second angle, such as a wide shot and a close-up, anywhere in Palm Beach, Broward or Miami-Dade with travel included. Everyone we interview wears a wireless lav mic, and we light each setup with our own Aputure lights. Tell us the look you want and the setup goes into your fixed quote.

Can you film employee and recruiting interviews?

Yes. Video Department films team interviews for careers pages, recruiting and onboarding in Fort Lauderdale, Miami and across South Florida: your people on camera, talking about what the work is like. At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025, we filmed MTN's sales team explaining why customers choose them. Several team members can be filmed in one shoot day at your office, and up to four people fit in an interview film from $3,500.

Do you film documentary-style interviews in Miami?

Yes. Video Department films longer, story-led interviews in Miami and across South Florida, filmed where the work happens and told in people's own words, with no narrator. Our Lumberock customer story followed a marine contractor through a real dock build in South Florida over more than one day.

Can you film attendee and speaker interviews at our conference?

Yes. Video Department films speaker, sponsor and attendee interviews at conferences and events in Fort Lauderdale, Miami and across South Florida. The Event Package covers one event day for $3,000, fixed: a 1–2 minute recap film, 5 captioned interview reels and all the raw footage, delivered within a week. At Mobility City's 2025 Owners Conference in Delray Beach, the conference film includes short interviews with the founders and owners, and our film for MTN at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025 includes short interviews with its team on the show floor. To film every talk too, see conference video in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

How long is the final video, how many rounds of changes, and who owns the footage?

A Video Department interview or testimonial film comes as a 2-minute film plus a 5–10 minute cut. The first cut arrives in about 2 weeks, with two rounds of changes included. You own the final videos with full usage rights, and raw footage and project files are provided on request.

Can you film franchise owners or customers in several cities across Florida?

Yes. Video Department films franchise owners, regional teams and customers in several locations: travel in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach is included, and for Naples, Orlando, Tampa or anywhere else in Florida we add travel to the same fixed quote. We plan the route so one trip covers every interview. Mobility City is a franchise network, and our film of its 2025 Owners Conference includes interviews with its owners.
