Product video production in South Florida

Video Department (VIDEO DEPT.) is a Fort Lauderdale video production studio that films products the way buyers want to see them: turning a full circle on a turntable, working in someone's hands, and in use where they belong. We film at your office, warehouse or showroom across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. Product video projects start from $2,500, with an exact fixed quote the same business day.

What we film

What kinds of product videos can you film?

Turntable and 360° videos

The product turns a full circle under even light, so buyers see every side, every port and every label in a few seconds. For a lab-equipment maker we filmed more than 60 products on a turntable, from pumps to colour fans.

Hands-on demos

Hands show the size and how it works: a caliper on a puzzle cube, a magnetic clasp sewn into a shirt. See our product videos for five clients.

On location

The product where it's used. For MTN, a marine internet company, we filmed the antenna mount being fitted on a yacht.

Clean shots on black or white

A plain background that shows shape and finish, with a text callout for each feature, like the MTN shots at the top of this page.

Videos for store and marketplace listings

Cut to the format each listing needs, horizontal, vertical or 4:3, and kept under the platform's file-size limit.

A whole catalog

Many products filmed in batches with the same light and background, so the whole catalog looks like one set.

Products with people

Customers and staff using what you sell, on the job. Wholesale Cabinets got product, how-to and customer videos, and Lumberock got its decking filmed on a real dock build.

Two cameras when you want them

A wide and a close-up rolling together, so a demo can cut between them without a jump.

What do you bring to a product shoot?

We plan the setup for each product, and it goes into your fixed quote.

  • Nikita Marushkov, our founder, leads every project. Bigger shoots add experienced freelance crew.
  • Sony cameras, with a second camera for another angle when you want one.
  • Aputure lights and softboxes, set up for each product and each room.
  • A monitor you can watch live over a wireless video feed, so you see every shot as we film it.
  • At your office, warehouse, showroom or job site, or in a studio we book when the project needs one (studio cost quoted separately).

What do you get?

  • Edited product videos in the formats you need: horizontal for your website, vertical for social media and listings.
  • First cut in about 2 weeks, then two rounds of changes.
  • Full usage rights. You own the final videos; raw footage and project files are provided on request.
  • A fixed price agreed before the shoot. The price we agree is the price you pay.

Common questions

Who makes product videos in Fort Lauderdale or Miami?

Video Department (VIDEO DEPT.), a Fort Lauderdale video production studio founded in 2017, films product videos across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach: turntable and 360° videos, hands-on demos and product films on location. Our founder, Nikita Marushkov, leads every shoot. Our product work includes a product film for MTN, a marine internet company, with its antenna mount filmed on black and fitted on a yacht, and product videos for five clients.

How much does a product video cost in South Florida?

At Video Department (VIDEO DEPT.), product video projects start from $2,500 for a planned shoot and edited videos, with the first cut in about 2 weeks and two rounds of changes. A shoot day on its own is $1,500: one camera operator for a full day with a camera, lights and a mic, with editing quoted separately. A monthly content plan with one shoot day every month starts from $3,000 a month. You get an exact fixed quote the same business day.

Turntable, hands-on or on location: which product video do I need?

A turntable video shows every side of a product in a few seconds and suits catalogs and store listings. A hands-on video shows the size and how the product works. A video on location shows it where it's used, like MTN's antenna mount on a yacht. Many products need two of the three, and VIDEO DEPT. plans the shots for each product in your fixed quote.

Can you make product videos for Amazon and online store listings?

Yes. VIDEO DEPT. has filmed product videos for a toy brand's marketplace listing and for a supplier of sewing magnets, cut to the format each listing needs: horizontal, vertical or 4:3, and kept under the platform's file-size limit. We check the platform's current video rules before the edit.

Can you film a whole product catalog?

Yes. For a lab-equipment and industrial-machinery maker, VIDEO DEPT. filmed more than 60 products on a turntable, on white and black, with the same light and background across the whole catalog, as part of 97 product and factory films. Catalogs are filmed in batches and quoted as one fixed price.

Where do you film product videos?

At your office, warehouse, showroom or job site anywhere in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, or in a studio we book when the project needs one (studio cost quoted separately). For Naples, Orlando, Tampa or anywhere else in Florida, travel is added to the same fixed quote.

How long does it take, how many rounds of changes, and who owns the videos?

The first cut of a VIDEO DEPT. product video arrives in about 2 weeks, with two rounds of changes included. You own the final videos with full usage rights, and raw footage and project files are provided on request.
